[ News ]  Signing of Memorandum of Understanding with TAFE Queensland - 2014-10-29
VTC and TAFE Queensland are the largest VET providers in Hong Kong and Queensland respectively.  Leveraged on these two networks, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two parties on 29 October 2014, to promote mutual exchanges and collaborations.  For VTC, this is the first ever MoU signed with an institution under the TAFE system at corporate level.  The new tie signified the commitment and collaboration of both parties to enhance vocational education and training, manpower development and higher education in both regions.

The MoU was signed by VTC Executive Director Dr Carrie Yau and TAFE Queensland Executive Director and Chief Academic Officer Dr Christina Hong.  Mr Brian Lo, Deputy Secretary for Education, Education Bureau; Mr Paul Tighe, Consul-General, Australian Consulate General; Ms Angela To, Commissioner, Queensland Government Australia (Trade & Investment Queensland); and Dr Clement Chen, VTC Chairman, witnessed the new milestone of collaboration.

The MoU covers various collaboration areas, such as staff/student exchanges and collaborative projects, academic visits, short training programmes for teaching staff, and new and innovative methods of joint cooperation including applied research.
