[ News ]  UNESCO Representatives Called on VTC’s Pro-Act Centre - 2015-08-27
Six representatives from UNESCO’s Asia Pacific offices, accompanied by Dr Margarita Pavlova, Director of the UNEVOC (Hong Kong) Centre, arrived at VTC Kowloon Bay Complex on the morning of 27 August.  These guests, who were from Nepal, Bangladesh, Philippines, India and China respectively, were participating in a UNESCO symposium in Hong Kong, the theme of which being ‘Inclusion of Green Competencies in the Recognition of Prior Learning’.  As if to complement the symposium, they spared one precious morning out of the two day-event for a site visit to VTC’s Pro-Act (Precision Engineering) centre for an understanding of the authentic training environment.  Before the tour, IDO gave an overall introduction of the VTC which successfully aroused interests and good responses from the visitors.

IDO introduced VTC’s structure and services provided to the UNESCO representatives.

Representatives expressed interests to explore future collaborations with VTC. (In the middle : Mr Ram Hari Lamichhane, Secretary for Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Nepal)
