[ News ]  Visit by SkillsFuture Singapore - 2016-12-13
SkillsFuture Singapore is a statutory board under the Ministry of Education established earlier this year to drive and promote a culture and holistic system of lifelong learning through the pursuit of skills mastery.  The Chief Executive of SkillsFuture, Mr Ng Cher Pong, and several of his key members visited the VTC on the 13th of December – the very first day of their four-day tour in Hong Kong.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by VTC Executive Director Mrs Carrie Yau at the IVE(HW) campus after a brief stopover at the VTC Kowloon Bay Complex where the delegation was shown around the training facilities.  During the meeting, Mr Ng and his colleagues had showed great interest and raised a lot of questions on VTC’s Earn & Learn and other Schemes, since SkillsFuture also happens to be overseeing the Singapore version Earn & Learn Scheme as well.  This was an excellent opportunity for the VTC and SkillsFuture to meet to catch up on this latest national movement in Singapore.

The Singaporean guests became our “customers” in the Retail Lab, one of our training facilities in IVE(Haking Wong)

The augmented reality technology was showcased in our STEM Centre located in Kowloon Bay.
