Mainland and International Affairs Office

The VTC Mainland and International Affairs Office (MIAO) (formerly the International Development Office) is dedicated to facilitating student and staff exchanges around the globe, enriching their global vision and knowledge, and developing partnerships with organisations and institutions worldwide in the pursuit of excellence in the field of vocational and professional education and training (VPET).

 

WHAT WE DO:

1International Liaisons and Networking

Establish new and strengthen existing partnerships with Mainland and international parties, including government bodies, academic institutions and industrial organisations, to foster sustainable and collaborative relationships for mutual benefits and development.

2Student Mobility and Delegation Visits

Arrange outbound and receive inbound physical and virtual student exchanges, welcome delegations from non-local organisations, organise and coordinate VTC staff delegations to attend international conferences and events.

3Non-local Industrial Attachments

Organise and provide support in non-local industrial attachments for VTC students.

4Non-local Student Admissions

Recruit and coordinate admissions of Mainland and overseas students to Degree and Higher Diploma programmes offered by the VTC member institutions, and provide pastoral care during their studies.

5Funding Schemes Administration

Administer International Exchange Funding for promoting student mobility internationally and bringing in authorities and experts from around the world to share knowledge through the International Visiting Fellows / Scholars Funding Scheme.

6International Events

Organise and support international events held locally and internationally.
