Visit from Dongguan Municipal Government Officials (22 February 2019)
In anticipation of the unveiling of the Outline Development Plan of the Greater Bay Area, a delegation led by the Deputy Mayor of Dongguan city, Ms Li Jun, visited the VTC shortly after the Chinese New Year holidays.    The high-profile delegation included not only directors from both the Education Bureau and Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, but also industry representatives from the Dao Heung Group, and was received by VTC Chairman Dr Roy Chung, Executive Director Mrs Carrie Yau and five other directorates. Lunch was hosted at the Chinese Culinary Institute training restaurant, followed by a meeting where senior officials of both sides sat down to discuss and exchange views on deepening collaborations and the way forward to further solidify the vocational education and training partnership.
Signing of MoU with Zhaoqing Eduation Bureau (9 January 2019)
Zhaoqing may be geographically farther from Hong Kong than the other Greater Bay Area (GBA) cities, but VTC is always pleased to receive delegations from this city, which in recent years has been gradually picking up momentum in economic development, following its GBA neighbours.  At the beginning of the year, Deputy Director of the Zhaoqing Education Bureau, Mr Luo Yongtong, visited the VTC and brought with him a number of vocational school principals, some of whom were returning visitors.  With both sides keen to strengthen partnership in vocational education for upskilling manpower, an MoU was signed by Mr Luo and VTC Deputy Executive Director, Ms Josephine Kea, which has begun a new chapter for collaboration between the two cites!
Guests from Henan Province (21 November, 2018)
It was VTC’s pleasure to welcome guests from Henan, China on a fine November day.   The participants of this eight-person delegation, led by the Deputy Director of the Henan Education Department Mr Yin Hongbin, came from various fields including tourism, child education and adult education.     Based on their background and interest in teacher training, the delegation met with the Principal of the Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK) who gave an overview of previous training programmes coordinated by PEAK for Mainland teachers and government officials.  Among other training facilities, the newly opened International Culinary Institute was showcased and the delegation was treated to lunch at the Chinese training restaurant, which concluded the half day visit perfectly!
Visit from Head of the Committee for Culture and Media of the German Federal Parliament
Ms Katrin Budde, Head of the Committee for Culture and Media of the German Federal Parliament, visited the VTC on 26 April 2019.  Ms Budde, accompanied by Consul-General Mr Deiter Lemlé, was given a tour of the International Culinary Institute and an introduction of the vocational and professional education and training opportunities given to students of the VTC.  
Visit from the Vice Consul of the Russian Consulate General of Hong Kong
Mr Boris Ezdrin, Vice Consul of the Russian Consulate General of Hong Kong, visited the VTC on 16 April 2019.  Following his attendance at the High Table Dinner in November 2018, the visit provided Mr Ezdrin a further opportunity to know and understand more about the VTC.  The half-day visit included campus tours of the Hong Kong Design Institute, Hotel and Tourism Institute, Chinese Culinary Institute and International Culinary Institute, and through the introductions and conversations along the way, Mr Ezdrin was able to gain a deeper understanding of VTC's role in providing high quality vocational and professional education and training.
