Kyushu University (九州大學), located in Fukuoka, is among the top public universities in Japan with a long history and good reputation.  About five years ago, Kyushu University started to operate international undergraduate programmes, delivered in English.  Among these are programmes offered by their Department of Bioresource and Bioenvironment.  IDO, as the department to solicit potential networking opportunities, introduced the incoming representative from the University to the Applied Science Discipline at the latter’s base in IVE(Sha Tin).  Potential areas worth further exploring included articulation arrangement and short term student exchange for IVE students as Kyushu University was keen to broaden their collaborations in Hong Kong.

CPTTM has been arranging annual visit to the VTC for their fashion design students  in recent years as a move to widen the students’ horizons.  The Macao students showed great interests when being guided around the Fashion Archive and showcase of HKDI students’ project.  They also visited the FID workshops and gained a better understanding about the entire production process of preparing for the final year projects by VTC graduates.
